$11,000 Phone Scam: Kendall Co. Police Reports

Phone Scam

Oswego Police Department says officials are investigating a phone scam that resulted in a loss of $11,000 for a 77-year-old woman from Oswego. Police say the scam took place at a residence on Cebold Drive at 3 p.m., June 27.

Domestic Battery

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials say Diana Ilijevski, 42, of the 500 block of West Walker Road, Plainfield, was charged with Domestic Battery, two or less prior convictions, at 7:59 p.m., June 27.

Thursday, June 28

Obstruction, Retail Theft

Henry Lamar Russell, 25, of 2800 Troon Drive, Montgomery has been charged with Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer or Correctional Institution Employee and Retail Theft at 11:50 p.m., June 28.

Domestic Battery

Oswego Police reported a domestic battery incident in the 100 block of Wilson Place, near Monroe and Benton Streets, that took place at 11:45 p.m., June 28. Police say the incident was reported at 1:17 a.m., June 29 and upon arrival to the scene, they found a 32-year-old male injured male from Oswego, and arrested Catherine A. Meyers, 28, of the same address. Meyers was taken to Oswego Police Department where she was charged with two counts of Domestic Battery. Her bond has been set by a judge and her court date is set for July 16, 2018.

Battery

Oswego Police are investigating a report of battery in the 400 block of Barnaby Drive that was called in at 5:51 p.m., June 28, nearly 20 minutes after it took place. Police say that's where they found an 18-year-old male victim and an unidentified female victim. The suspect is described as an 11-year-old black male wearing a white tank top.

Theft

Dearra Brown, 18, of the 300 block of Barnaby Drive, Oswego, and Elizabeth Rogers, 18, of the 1300 block of 4th Street, Aurora, were arrested after Yorkville Police officials responded to reports of an incident involving two females who failed to pay for a taxi service in the 300 block of E. Countryside Parkway at 2:35 p.m., June 28. Both are being charged with Theft of Services.

DUI

Kendall County Sheriff's Office officials say Jessica Michelle Clark, 37, of West 4th Street, Big Rock, was charged with Aggravated DUI for the third or subsequent time on 10:04 a.m., June 28.
