Mom Who Allegedly Tried to Murder Daughters Attempts Courthouse Escape: Police

The 48-year-old Montgomery woman tried to run from the Kendall County Courthouse after slipping her wrists out of restraints.

A Montgomery woman who is awaiting trial on attempted murder charges tried to run from court Tuesday morning.

Pamela J. Christensen, 48, attempted to escape from a Kendall County courtroom while in custody, according to a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.

Police say Christensen was able to slip her wrists out of her restraints and started to run toward an exit, but was restrained by court security deputies.

Christensen tried to break away from them, but was taken to a secure holding area in the courthouse. She was restrained before making any contact with courthouse visitors and at no time was anyone in danger, according to police.

Christensen was in court for a matter unrelated to her alleged attempt to poison her three daughters when she tried to escape. She has been charged with attempted escape and resisting a peace officer.
