CAW has a friend in Pidgin, the best universal chat client. I have been using instant message tools from ICQ, AOL, MSN, Yahoo and Google (yes, I have accounts everywhere), and finally got tired of having all these little toolbar applications running using up RAM like a sponge. So I started using Pidgin to make everything run in one application and save memory and make life easy.
It's simple and free and does the job when you have more than one IM software, or just need something simple and free of advertising and other popups in your face. It works in OSX, Windows and Ubuntu (Linux) flavors and, frankly, just works.
