Cool Application of Week: Let's get the Music and Video in Me!

OK, so you get the new computer, and the videos and music just don't play right, or will jump up and say you need a codec. Well, head over to  http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and get your operating system's flavor of what is maybe the best music and video tool known to man. So you are now set to play 99% of everything on the web, and all those messages go away.

Need a bunch of cool apps? Head over to http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_installer.html and try Google Earth or other apps. Google Earth is like taking a walk in the world without the walk. Lots of fun, and I use it to make street photos of my house when people can't find their way.

Hey did you know you can open your recycle bin and restore files you deleted by accident? Simply double click and right click on the file and select restore. (Only if you haven't emptied the recycle bin yet.)

One more quickie: Pressing the Windows key and the letter D at the same time shows your desktop and hides all those open applications.
