Cool Application of the Week - Safety Pins for Your Computer

Years ago, when our children were young, we used diapers. Yes, I'm older, and we did use those.

Today with computers we have a need to safeguard those passwords—you know, those things you should make difficult to enter, but don't. Well, now you can use harder passwords because you only need to remember one master password when using this simple tool and service.

The software and service is Lastpass, and I have been using it for months, and I like it for what it does and doesn't do. Once it’s set up and running, it will automatically log me into all my accounts—which are many. It also will suggest very hard passwords, but it stores them for you locally and in the cloud for backup. If you pay for enhanced services, it allows iPad and SmartPhone use to keep you safe there as well. Simply put, just a great product and idea, one password becomes many harder ones.

Now for the doesn’t—it won't make coffee for you, but maybe they can fix that one day.
