The Waiting Game

Finding my books a home.

I've been spending the last few weeks trying to find an agent, publisher...something! I'm used to rejection letters, but the waiting to hear back from the places I've contacted is the real kicker. Some places say that they get back to you in 4-6 weeks. Others will tell you 4-6 months. Needless to say, I check my email constantly. It used to be that you mailed your submission with a SASE. Now everything is done on line as most companies are going "green". Good for them, plus it saves me money on stamps and printer paper.

I guess my biggest issue is advertising and getting my books out there. I already have an amazing team put together and we do what we can. So I want to ask you readers...how can I reach out to the general public and move my book forward? Anybody? Is it time for another round of giving a few more books away? The second book in The Delivery Girl series is in editing at the moment, and will be out before Christmas. Not to mention a children's book is now finished as well; my illustrator did an amazing job! I'm very excited to see it go into print. Keeping my fingers crossed!
