NAPERVILLE, IL — An 11-year-old Montgomery boy was seriously hurt and several others taken to area hospitals after state police said a semi-trailer failed to slow down in time, setting off a chain-reaction crash involving three other vehicles at around 10:46 a.m. Sunday. Police said all four vehicles were heading east on I-88 near milepost 123 in Naperville in slowed/stopped traffic when the driver of the semi "for unknown reasons" failed to slow down and rear-ended a 2009 Nissan.

The crash pushed the Nissan into a Lexus, which then struck a Chevrolet, according to police.
