McDole Elementary School in Kaneland Community Unit School District 302 held a McTeacher's Night at the Sugar Grove McDonald’s on Wednesday, November 29th.
A McTeacher's Night Fundraiser is organized to help raise money for local schools by having teachers and staff members work at McDonald's for the night and then giving a percentage of the night's sales back to the local school.
The Sugar Grove McDonald's was taken over by extremely excited teachers, staff member and families to raise money for McDole Elementary PTO.
An Amazing Thirty-Five teachers worked during this event serving freshly prepared meals to the students and their families. The McTeacher's Jobs included greeting guests, cleaning the lobby, working the front counter, serving drinks, clearing tables, and selling apple pies while dressed up in an apple pie costume.
This evening was one for the records, the students, families, and staff had an experience that will be remembered for years to come. To make this night even more special was a surprise appearance by the one and only Ronald McDonald. The Families, Children and Staff members from McDole Elementary took many pictures and Selfies with Ronald, to keep as a reminder of this unforgettable Night of FUNdraising.
A special thank you goes to PTO member Katie Kempski who organized the entire event as well as all the teachers and staff that donated their time to make this night an ENORMOUS success for McDole Elementary School.
