
MONTGOMERY, IL — This year's three-day Montgomery Fest kicks off on Friday, Aug. 10, and the fun lasts until Sunday, Aug. 12. This year's event offers live music, food, the annual "Montgomery's Got Talent," a car show, parade family fishing derby and more.
This year's grand marshal is Street Supervisor Gary Beyer, a lifelong resident of the Montgomery and Oswego area, who is being honored for 33 years of service. The parade steps off at 1 p.m. Sunday.
This year marks the 34th year of Montgomery Fest. Unless otherwise specified in the schedule (below), activities take place at Montgomery Park, located at the corner of River and Mill streets. Montgomery Fest 2018 Music, Event Lineup Revealed
Free shuttle bus service will be provided to the downtown Montgomery area from Lakewood Creek Elementary School and the U-Haul parking lot on Douglas Road near Route 30 on Saturday and Sunday. Buses run every half-hour from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A cooling center will be available in the Village Hall multipurpose room. Restrooms are also available inside Village Hall. As of Wednesday, the forecast called for partly cloudy skies and highs in the low 80s all three days of the fest, with a low chance of rain.
