Gunshots In Montgomery Related To Narcotics Case: Sheriff
Sheriff's office said this appeared to be a targeted incident involving illegal narcotics, and not a random act of violence.

MONTGOMERY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is investigating after sheriff's deputies and Oswego Police Officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 0-99 block of Chatham Place, Montgomery in Oswego Township early Saturday morning, Nov. 24. According to the sheriff's office, the incident took place at 1:40 a.m. and the investigation led deputies to the Chatham Place residence. Officials said the community should be aware this appeared to be a targeted incident involving illegal narcotics, and not a random act of violence.
According to a release, the sheriff's office is working with the Criminal Intelligence Team to increase area patrols to make sure the streets remain safe, and asks anyone with information related to this incident to contact the Kendall County Sheriff's Office Investigations Unit at 630-553-7500, ext. 1105, or remain anonymous by calling Kendall County Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999.
