Kendall County Forest Foundation to Hold Fall Fest Oct. 10

The nature-focused event will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hoover Forest Preserve in Yorkville.

If you’re looking for free family fun in a beautiful and inspiring location, join the Forest Foundation of Kendall County at its Annual Fall Fest on Saturday, Oct. 10. The nature-focused event will be held from 11 am to 5 pm at the Hoover Forest Preserve in Yorkville.

Animals, music and interactive activities make this annual event the perfect day in the woods. Kids can stop by the petting zoo and watch the Champion Frisbee Dogs on their way to the scavenger hunt, animal encounters and skill-building craft stations. And you don’t want to miss the educational presentations from Incredible Bats and Big Run Wolf Ranch!

Live music by local musicians Jeff & Kurt’s Acoustic Refreshment will get you dancing and the lively blend of earth-friendly, family-style songs and stories of Dave Orleans’ “Earthsinging” will inspire you to sing along. Nature hikes, candle dipping, raffles and much more will be featured at the outdoor festival. There’s something for everyone, of every age!

Bring chairs to relax in while you enjoy the entertainment. Food will be available for purchase throughout the day including pork burgers, chili, hot dogs, cookies, trail mix and cider.
