AURORA, Ill. – State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, met with more than 30 residents at her Local Elected Officials Meet and Greet on Tuesday night at the Hopvine Brewing Company in Aurora.

“I am excited that so many residents were able to make it to the meet and greet,” Kifowit said. “The casual and fun setting allowed for pleasant conversation about important local and state issues, while also giving neighbors the opportunity to become better acquainted with the men and women who represent them at the local level. I hope to hold more events like this in the future.”

Kifowit’s “Meet Your Local Elected Officials” event offered individuals the chance to speak with elected officials from both local and state government. In addition to Kifowit, participants included state Sen. Linda Holmes, D-Aurora, Aurora 8th Ward Alderman Rick Mervine, Aurora 9th Ward Alderman Edward Bugg, Aurora Township Supervisor William Catching, DuPage County Board Member Tony Michelassi, Kendall County Board Member Matt Prochaska, Naperville Township Assessor Warren Dixon, Naperville Township Supervisor Rachel Ossyra, Will County Board Member Gretchen Fritz, and Wheatland Township Trustee Raquel Mitchell. In addition, Maria DeLeon from Congressman Bill Foster’s Office also attended the meet and greet.
