Kifowit Invites Public to Join Citizen Advisory Council

State Rep. Stephanie Kifowit

AURORA, Ill. – To provide a forum for discussion and resident input on issues affecting the state of Illinois and area residents, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is inviting area citizens to join her Citizen Advisory Council.

“The advantage of forming this Citizen Advisory Council is to allow members from different facets of the community to have a voice and to give valuable input as an advisory panel,” Kifowit said. “I am grateful for the residents who will volunteer to give their time and talent to enable me to be a stronger advocate for our community in Springfield.”

Kifowit’s Citizen Advisory Council will discuss a variety of topics, including, education, taxes, jobs and the economy, seniors, and veterans. The council will meet periodically throughout the year to provide feedback on state proposals and share ideas for potential legislation.
