SWAT Team Finds Man Dead In Montgomery: Police
Montgomery police, SWAT unit responded to the incident Monday afternoon.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A man was found dead inside a Montgomery home after officers were asked to conduct a well-being check, Montgomery Police Chief Daniel Meyers said. Police were dispatched to a home in the 1900 block of Waverly Way at around 4 p.m. and attempted to make contact with a man inside the home via loudspeaker, police said. Officers who arrived at the scene found a single bullet hole and a broken window at the home, Meyers said in a press release, adding that a "possible gunshot occurred."
After multiple attempts to make contact with the man, SWAT unit officers entered the home and found him dead, Meyers said.
Police said the name of the man, identified only as a Hispanic male, will be released after his next of kin have been notified.

The scene was processed by Montgomery Police Department Crime Scene Investigators. Montgomery police were assisted by the Kane County Sheriff's Office, Kane County SWAT team, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, Yorkville police, Illinois State Police, Sugar Grove Fire Department and the Kane County Emergency Management Agency.
