Man Guilty Of Fatally Shooting Victim Outside Montgomery Party
Christopher B. McMorris, 30, of Aurora, was fatally shot while in a parked car outside a party at a residence, officials said.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A Plano man was found guilty of murdering a man who was attending a party in May 2021 in Montgomery, Kane County State's Attorney Jamie Mosser announced Monday.
In the early morning of May 2, 2021, Ladarius Parker was attending a party at a residence in the 1700 block of Stonegate Drive in Montgomery when he fatally shot Christopher B. McMorris, a 30-year-old resident of Aurora. McMorris was sitting in a parked vehicle when he was killed, Mosser said.
The U.S. Marshal Service arrested Parker, now 28, on Jan. 7, 2022, in Freeport.

"My deepest condolences continue to go out to the victim's family," Orland said in a statement. "While nothing can undo their loss, I hope that they can now take some comfort in knowing that the perpetrator of Mr. McMorris's death has been brought to justice."
Parker's next court appearance, for motions and sentencing, is set for May 1 at the Kane County Judicial Center. Meanwhile, he remains in the Kane County jail.
