Elderly Cleaning Man Killed in 5 A.M. Aurora Club Robbery
Police have few clues to go on and are asking for the public's help in identifying the men responsible.
AURORA, IL - A 79-year-old Aurora man was killed in a robbery Dec. 6 and police are looking for help identifying the three men responsible.
According to a release from the Aurora Police Department, three men entered the Latin America Club in the 1300 block of Dearborn Avenue at around 5:30 a.m.

The men, two of whom wore masks and one who had his face covered from the nose down, demanded money from two men who were cleaning the building. The men were attacked and beaten until they were unconscious.
Felipe Garcia, of the 3300 block of Alysa Street in Plano, died at around 10:30 p.m. Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove where he was initially taken for treatment. A 55-year-old Aurora man is currently being treated for non-life threatening wounds.

The men, at least one whom was armed with a large, machete-type knife, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor.
Police say there are few concrete descriptions of the men other than that they all wore different colored sweatshirts. One was black, another was blue and the other one was gray.
An autopsy on Garcia is pending at the DuPage County Coroner’s Office in Wheaton.
