Man Meeting Up for Sex Beaten and Robbed
Three people have been charged with theft and robbery in the incident.

A man who thought he was going to an apartment for sex instead was beaten and robbed, according to a release from the Aurora Police Department.
Adriana J. Chavez, 25, and Miles C. Perry, 23, both of the 900 block of Second Avenue, Aurora; and Alejandro Alvarez, 21, of the 1500 block of North 15th Avenue, Melrose Park, have all been charged with robbery and theft. Police are searching for a third man they believe also took part in the robbery and beating.

The victim, who lives in Summit, Illinois, told police he went to Chavez’s apartment around 1 a.m. Nov. 26, after she allegedly promised him sexual favors. He said that once she let him in, three men suddenly appeared from a side bedroom and beat and robbed him. They then dragged him out of the apartment down three flights of stairs, and threw him out of the building.

The victim added that he had met Chavez a couple of days earlier on an undisclosed internet site and they had been texting since that time.
At around 6 p.m., Nov. 27, an Aurora Police officer familiar with the apartment building in which the alleged crime occurred, followed up on the robbery report. During his initial investigation, he reviewed surveillance video which helped him identify the offenders. He found Chavez, Perry, and Alvarez still in the building and with the help of Aurora Police detectives, they were questioned and the charges authorized.
