Montgomery Man Shot In Boulder Hill: Police Ask For Help

Police are investigating the Tuesday shooting of a 22-year-old man in Boulder Hill.

MONTGOMERY, IL -- Police are investigating the shooting of a 22-year-old man that took place in Boulder Hill, in the area of Fernwood Road and Woodridge Road, Tuesday around 3:30 p.m.

The victim, Kenneth Moore, of the 0-100 block of Amesbury Road in Montgomery, sustained multiple gunshot injuries, according to a press release from the Kendall County Sheriff's Office. He was transported to Rush-Copley Hospital for treatment. There is no further available information on his condition.

The shooting "appears to be an isolated incident," the press release says, adding that "there is no known specific threat to the public."

A neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, reported hearing seven loud bangs and saw paramedics putting a person into an ambulance.

The Sheriff's Office is asking citizens with any information related to the incident or suspects to call the Kendall County Sheriff's Office Investigations Unit at 630-553-7500 ext. 1105.
