Miles for Smiles 5K to Close Franklin Street in Oswego
The closure is scheduled from 6 to 11 a.m. April 24.

OSWEGO, IL — Celebrate Differences, a nonprofit that supports individuals with disabilities, is reminding residents that its Miles for Smiles 5K race slated for Sunday, April 24, in downtown Oswego will result in a road closure, according to a news release.
Franklin Street is scheduled to be closed from 6 to 11 a.m. for the 5K.

The course also includes several residential roads in downtown Oswego, including: Tyler Street, Madison Street, Wilson Place, Hickory Street, Judson Street, Douglas Street, Main Street, South Adams Street, West Van Buren Street, Monroe Street, Jefferson Street and Garfield Street.
While Franklin Street closes at 6 a.m. for the 9 a.m. race, all other streets will remain open.

Celebrate Differences volunteers will be at several locations assisting the motoring public and participants and are asking for your patience while this event takes place, according to the release.
"Alert and courteous drivers will provide safety for the participants as well as the volunteers of this event," the release said.
