Mill Street Bridge to Close for Improvements

The Mill Street Bridge over the Fox River in Montgomery will close beginning on Aug. 20 for rehabilitation services, according to a release from the Village of Montgomery. MYS, Inc. will be doing the rehab and work should be completed by Oct. 16.

The work will generally consist of bridge deck repairs and bridge painting. The project will include bridge deck scarification, bridge deck latex concrete overlay, structural repair of concrete and concrete coating.

During this time, Mill Street will be closed from River Street to IL Route 25 and all traffic will be required to follow the posted detour route. Traffic will be detoured via the Ashland Avenue Bridge to the north.
