Montgomery Business Passes Alcohol Compliance Checks

10 of the 12 Kane County businesses passed the checks.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A Montgomery business apparently isn’t a slouch when it comes to not selling to minors.

Parkside Lanes, located at 34W185 Montgomery Road, passed a recent alcohol compliance check conducted by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office.

However, the sheriff’s office did end up citing two people for selling to minors in Kane County.

Ronald Ritchey, 64, of Elburn, was cited for selling alcohol to a minor at Chucks Bar and Grill, 47w739 Route 64 in Sycamore, and Lori Ward, 56, of Marengo, was cited for selling alcohol to a minor at Mott’s Bar, 195 Main St. in Burlington.

The Kane County Sheriff’s Office conducted the alcohol compliance checks at 12 businesses on Jan. 13. While two of the businesses failed the test, the rest of them passed.

The following businesses passed the recent compliance checks:

  • 4. BP Plank Rd 125 W Plank Road, Burlington
  • Winners Circle 50W226 Old State Road, Maple Park
  • Calamity Jane’s: 9S593 IL-47, Sugar Grove
  • BP Gas Station 9S593 IL-47, Sugar Grove
  • Stoney’s Tavern 1031 Ridgeway Ave, Aurora
  • Parkside Lanes 34W185 Montgomery Road, Montgomery
  • Rudy’s Bar 900 Hill Ave., Aurora
