Montgomery Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault

Police were told he had a knife, but they found no such weapon when the apprehended him.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A Montgomery man was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest, Kendall County Now reported.

Maurice L. Turner, 35, of the 2200 block of Lynn Drive, is alleged to have been involved in a disturbance and may have had a knife during the incident, police say. Police arrested Turner early Tuesday morning at 12:22 a.m., according to Kendall County Now.

Police initially responded with the belief that Turner had a knife, but he was not in possession of a knife when officers located him.

Turner posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.
