Montgomery Man Charged With Domestic Battery, Battery: Sheriff

Sheriff's deputies arrested a Montgomery man after responding to a domestic battery report Tuesday.

MONTGOMERY, IL — The Kendall County Sheriff's Office said a Montgomery man was arrested Tuesday after sheriff's deputies responded just before 3:45 p.m. to a domestic battery report in the 100-200 block of Heathgate Road. Deputies investigated the report when they arrived to the scene and determined that a separate battery occurred, the sheriff's office said. As a result of the investigation, 27-year-old Derrek Evans, of the same location, was arrested and has been charged with battery and domestic battery, officials said.

The sheriff's office said Evans was taken to the Kendall County Jail, adding that he's being held at the Kendall County Public Safety Center with no bond.
