Montgomery Man Pointed Gun at Woman, Ran Toward Her with It: Police
He also fired a round off into the air.

MONTGOMERY, IL — A 28-year-old Montgomery man has received additional charges stemming from an incident Aug. 19 where he allegedly displayed a handgun and fired a shot in the air.
According to the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office, deputies met with a female at 1:56 a.m. who reported that she was just involved in a disturbance at a residence in the 0-40 block of Wyndham Drive in unincorporated Montgomery.
She told police that a man displayed a handgun, fired a round into the air and pointed the gun at her while running toward her.

After responding to the residence, deputies recovered a firearm that had been reported stolen.
Christopher Garcia, 28, was taken into custody and charged with possession of a stolen firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, possession of a weapon without a FOID card and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

KCSO detectives continued investigating and received additional information from residents in the area. On Sept. 12, Garcia was charged with unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon and reckless discharge of a firearm.
Garcia is currently in custody at the Kendall County Jail.
