Oswego School District Kindergarten Registration Begins Feb. 17

It probably seems like only yesterday that your little one entered the world, but now it is time to sign your child up for kindergarten. Children registering in Community Unit School District 308 for kindergarten for the 2015-16 school year must be 5 years old by Sept. 1.

District 308 kindergarten registration will be held Feb. 17­–26. Early registration will allow District 308 to confirm kindergarten placement (morning, afternoon, or full day) and your child’s specific school assignment in a timely manner.

Registration is held on a walk-in basis for the various District 308 elementary schools as follows:

  • Tuesday, February 17: Boulder Hill
  • Wednesday, February 18: Fox Chase and Southbury
  • Thursday, February 19: Churchill and Long Beach
  • Monday, February 23: Hunt Club and Prairie Point
  • Tuesday, February 24: The Wheatlands and Wolf’s Crossing
  • Wednesday, February 25: Grande Park and Homestead
  • Thursday, February 26: Lakewood Creek and Old Post


Don’t worry if you are unable to make your school’s scheduled registration date. You can register your child on any of the dates listed above regardless of your child’s specific school assignment.

Registration will take place at Oswego East High School between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.Please park in the east lot and enter through door 22, located in the rear of the building.

To register your child, you will need their original birth certificate, a photo I.D. of the parent registering the child, three proofs of residency, and a completed registration packet. To obtain a registration packet you may contact the school your child will be attending and request one to be mailed to your home, download the packet from our website at www.sd308.org, or stop by your school or the district office to pick up a packet.

You are not required to bring your child to registration.
