
The Oswego School District 308 school board will vote tonight on modified contracts for Superintendent Matthew Wendt, Associate Superintendent Paul O’Malley and Assistant Superintendents Judy Minor and John Sparlin, Only Oswego reports.
If approved, Wendt will receive a $25,000 increase to his salary of $225,000. O’Malley, Minor and Sparlin will receive $5,000 increases.
Board President Bill Walsh said although they are getting pay raises, they may actually be making less as they will no longer receive performance-based bonuses if the new contracts are approved.

“We heard from the community that they don’t like performance-based contracts,” Walsh said. “So, we worked with Dr. Wendt to re-structure his contract. I think this shows he’s committed to the district.”
