Plenty Planned For Montgomery National Night Out

Family fun events scheduled for Aug. 7, featuring local police and firefighters.

MONTGOMERY, IL — On Tuesday, Aug. 7, neighborhoods throughout Montgomery are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out which is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community.

National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW) and co-sponsored locally by the Montgomery Police Department, will involve an estimated 40 million people in over 16,000 communities. This year’s event will reach out to all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canada, and military bases throughout the U.S. and around the world.

This year the Montgomery Police Department along with the Montgomery, Aurora Township, Oswego, Sugar Grove, and Bristol-Kendall Fire Departments will be visiting the following neighborhoods throughout the area:
