River Run Raises Funds For VFW, Rotary Club, Hesed House
Proceeds totaling $4,000 will go to help the local organizations.
MONTGOMERY, IL - This year's Montgomery 5K and 10K River Run raised funds for three local organizations.
The proceeds from the Oct. 7 event, the 14th annual, has been distributed to the Montgomery VFW Post #7452, Montgomery Rotary Clun and the Hesed House, a homeless shelter in nearby Aurora.
According to an item on the Nov. 27 Montgomery Village Board meeting agenda, $2,000 will be distributed to the VFW, $1,000 to the Rotary Club and $1,000 to the Hesed House.
