Sugar in Gas Tank, Robbery: Montgomery Blotter
Arrests occurred between May 19 and June 12.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
May 19
On Nov. 1, 2015, the Circle K gas station was robbed by two black males who left the business with cash and cigarettes. Detectives from the Montgomery Police Department followed up on leads given to them by the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and Oswego Police Department that lead to the arrests of 25 year old Darrick Williams from the 600 block of Oakwood Blvd. in Chicago and 22-year-old Milan Thomas from the 1300 block of Monomoy St. in Aurora. Both men were charged with robbery.

June 4
A resident reported someone put sugar in the gas tank of her 2001 Ford van.

June 5
Alejandro Guillen, 18, of the 1300 block of Talma St. in Aurora, was charged with mob action after he was observed on video getting into a fight with a group of people outside a gas station in Montgomery.
Kevin Cruz, 18, of the 700 block of East Galena, Aurora, along with a 15-year-old juvenile were charged with mob action and aggravated battery after police arrived on the scene of a stabbing outside a gas station in Montgomery. Detectives followed up on leads which lead to the Aurora Police Department arresting Cruz and a 15-year-old juvenile.
June 8
Someone damaged a 2014 Hyundai Accent which was parked in the parking lot. The vehicle’s owner stated someone had scratched the back of his vehicle while he went into the business.
June 10
Yecenia Avila, 34, of the 800 block of Victoria Drive, Montgomery, was arrested on a warrant out of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office for violation of a court order.
Scott Turyna, 65, of the 2000 block of William Drive, Montgomery, was arrested on a warrant out of St. Charles PD for violation of a court order.
Ronald Yanos, 22, of the 1000 block of Howell Place, Aurora, was arrested for driving while license revoked after police stopped his vehicle for no front registration plate.
June 12
Brenda Rangel, 35, of the 2400 block of Light Road, Oswego, was arrested on a warrant out of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office for driving while license revoked.
