Teen Arrested After String Of Montgomery Business Burglaries: Police
Multiple businesses on Montgomery's East Side experienced forced entries and property loss, police said.
MONTGOMERY, IL — A teenage boy was arrested in connection with a string of burglaries at businesses on Montgomery's East Side, police said.
Over the past several weeks, several businesses along the Douglas Road corridor experienced forced entries and property loss. As a result, Montgomery police increased patrols and conducted a coordinated investigation, leading to the arrest of a 16-year-old boy.
The teenager was taken into custody and, as of Thursday, was being held at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center on multiple charges, including felony burglary. Additional charges may be pending the results of an ongoing forensic analysis, officials said.
