Thompson Junior High to Host Tiger Roar 5K

Thompson Junior High School, 440 Boulder Hill Pass, will host its third annual Tiger Roar 5K on Saturday, April 25.

The event, a joint effort between the Thompson athletic and PE departments, was created to promote healthy lifestyles.

Participants will receive a “goodie bag” filled with items from event sponsors, plus a commemorative T-shirt. Awards will be given to the top overall male and female runners, and ribbons will be awarded to the top male and female runner in each category.

Registration cost is $15 to participate in the fun run/walk, and $25 to participate in the 5k run/walk. Registration is available online.

Families of four or more will receive a discounted price of $10 per family member for the mile fun run/walk, and $20 per member for the 5K.

To be guaranteed a T-shirt and avoid late registration fees, participants are urged to register by April 10.

Race start times:

• 1 mile fun run/walk: 8 a.m.
• 5K run/walk 8:30 a.m.

Race day registration is from 7 to 8 a.m.
