Warrant Arrests, Burglar Alarm: Montgomery Police Log

Police arrested a man on a warrant while responding to a burglar alarm on N. River Street in Montgomery.

MONTGOMERY, IL — Montgomery police released their activity log from Veterans' Day weekend. They arrested a few for driving with suspended licenses and a suspended registration, and arrested two on outstanding warrants.

Arrests listed here are not implications of guilt.

Around 7:45 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, police got an anonymous tip that Michael Reed, 54, of the 100 block of Webster Street, was wanted on a DUI charge and present at a home in that block. Police responded and arrested him. He could not post bond and was released into the custody of a Kane County Deputy.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, police responded to a burglar alarm at a business in the 100 block of N. River Street. While investigating, police "made contact" with Douglas Johnson, 59, of the 100 block of Jefferson Street. Police did not say in the report that Johnson was involved in the burglar alarm. He was arrested on an outstanding warrant from Kane County for comtempt of court. He could not post bond and was released into the custody of a Kane County Deputy.
