The incident left a civilian driver hospitalized and totaled the police vehicle, and the department is directing anyone seeking details to file a Freedom of Information Act request.
   

• Outlot Proposed For Mount Prospect Plaza (journal-topics.com) — Village officials will weigh a proposal on Oct. 8 that could reshape Mount Prospect Plaza with a new 27,000-square-foot outlot along Rand Road between Panda Express and Lakeside Bank. While no tenant is set yet, the plan would create a marketable parcel for redevelopment and begin formal review by the Planning and Zoning Commission and Village Board.
   

• Newmark brokers $95 million sale of Randhurst Village power center in Mount Prospect (rejournals.com) — A major Mount Prospect shopping destination just changed hands, with Randhurst Village sold for $95 million to Rhino Investment Group. The 94-acre power center at Rand and Elmhurst roads remains anchored by big-name retailers and has seen strong leasing, suggesting continued stability and potential growth for one of the village's key commercial hubs.
