123 New Coronavirus Cases In Past Week In Naperville

Since March, the DuPage County portion of Naperville has seen 6,210 coronavirus cases.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The number of coronavirus cases in Naperville has increased by 123 cases in the past week in DuPage County, according to information from the DuPage County Health Department (DCHD). Those number are consistent with the previous week, which saw an increase of 125 coronavirus cases.

As of Feb. 16, there had been 6,087 cases reported in the DuPage County portion of Naperville. The total number of cases reported in Naperville as of Feb. 23 was 6,210 per DCHD.

To date, there have been a total of 28 coronavirus-related deaths in the village, DCHD reports.

DuPage County recently topped 76,000 coronavirus cases and reported its first case of coronavirus variant B.1.17, which was first detected in the United Kingdom. The risk of transmission in DuPage County is currently classified as "substantial."
