16th Annual Pennies For Pies Drive Kicks Off In Naperville
The park district's Pennies for Pies drive will help provide pumpkin pies to residents in need this holiday season.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Park District recently kicked off its 16th Annual Pennies for Pies drive, which will work with Loaves and Fishes to help give pumpkin pies for residents in need to enjoy this holiday season.
Residents can drop off monetary donations at five locations throughout the park district. The locations are as follows:
- Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 W. Jackson Ave.
- Fort Hill Activity Center, 20 Fort Hill Dr.
- Knoch Knolls Nature Center, 320 Knoch Knolls Rd.
- Naperbrook Golf Course, 22204 W. 111th St., Plainfield
- Springbrook Golf Course, 2220 W. 83rd. St.
The Pennies for Pies drive got its start in 2006 in local preschool classrooms as a way of teaching students the impact of making small donations. Last year, the Pennies for Pies drive funded the purchase of 120 pies.
