16th annual SHARE “A Walk to Remember” goes virtual Oct. 10
The event includes an online memorial service on Oct. 10 featuring music, poetry and a reading of baby names.

SHARE’s 16th annual “A Walk to Remember” is going virtual. Participants are encouraged to walk their chosen route on or around Oct 10. The event includes an online memorial service on Oct. 10 featuring music, poetry and a reading of baby names, as well as photos of walk participants submitted via email and in the exclusive Facebook group.
Participants are also invited to create their own web page to share their personal journey and ask for supporters. T-shirts will be available for pre-order when registering. Participants will pick-up a packet with program information prior to the event that includes the Facebook Live link.

SHARE, which is celebrating its 31st anniversary in 2020, is a support group at Edward Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital for those who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or neonatal death.
Proceeds from the Walk will benefit SHARE’s counseling services, bereavement training and education, and the Wings of Hope Angel Garden at Edward Hospital, an outdoor space that was designed as a place where grieving parents can seek peace and comfort, as well as memorialize their child.

SHARE support groups are available via WebEx from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on the first, second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Sharing HOPE (Having Optimistic Pregnancy Expectations) also meets via WebEx, from 8 to 9:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Sharing HOPE is a support group for couples who have experienced a loss and are pregnant or considering pregnancy.
