Aurora Siblings Killed In Naperville Motorcycle Crash: Police

Police have released the identities of two Aurora people killed in a motorcycle crash Friday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Police in Naperville have released the names of the victims of a car vs. motorcycle collision that claimed two lives late Friday. Brother and sister David Casas Garcia, 26, and Nayeli Casas Garcia, 16, both of Aurora, were killed in the crash, which took place just before 10:45 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Hill Drive and Aurora Avenue.

After an initial investigation, police say it appears David Casas Garcia was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Aurora Avenue toward Fort Hill when a Honda Civic driven by a 70-year-old Naperville man allegedly turned in front of the Casas Garcia. Both the David and Nayeli were pronounced dead at the scene.

The intersection was closed until after 4 a.m. as emergency crews responded to the incident and experts worked to reconstruct the collision.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Naperville Police Department's Traffic Unit at (630) 420-8833.

A GoFundMe has been started in memory of David and Nayeli Casas Garcia. As of Monday afternoon it had raised $10,750 of its $10,000 goal.
