2 Stores Sold Nicotine Products To Underage Shoppers In Naperville: PD
Police say two stores in Naperville were caught selling tobacco and nicotine products to shoppers under 21 during a recent compliance check.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Two stores in Naperville were recently cited for selling tobacco or nicotine products to shoppers under the age of 21, according to a recent report from the Naperville Police Department.
In early June, police reviewed 73 local merchants to see if they complied with the minimum age requirements for tobacco and nicotine sales in Illinois. The following stores failed the compliance check, according to police:
- Smoke Arena, 1570 W. Ogden Ave.
- Smokers Choice, 803 E. Ogden Ave.
Naperville's tobacco and nicotine compliance checks are made possible in part by a grant from the Illinois Department of Human Services Tobacco Enforcement Program.
