2018 Naperville Table Tennis Tournament Winners

The annual Naperville Table Tennis Tournament, co-sponsored by the Naperville Park District and the Naperville Table Tennis Club, took place on Sat., January 27 at the River Woods School gym with 40 adults and 20 youth participating.

“It was exciting to see four members of a family compete in the tournament,” said Program Manager Brock Atwell. “Sangita Naresh won the women’s open and one of the Naresh’s sons (Sid) played his father (Arcot) in the finals and won the men’s open. Both Sid and his brother, Nandan are in the top five nationally within their respective age groups.”

The results for all of the divisions were as follows:

Ages 7-11 - Finalist-Evan Ziegler, Champion-Krish Manek

Ages 12-13 - Finalist-Gabe Patrascu, Champion-Derek Sisbarro

Ages 14-17 - Finalist-Alex Jang, Champion-Wesley Wu

Men's Open - Finalist Arcot Naresh, Champion-Sid Naresh

Men's Masters - Finalist-Todd Kaney, Champion-John Brandt

Women's Open - Finalist-Archana Gidwani, Champion-Sangita Naresh
