NAPERVILLE, IL — Twenty-five students from Naperville North were recently named 2024 semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
The students are:

- Yikai Liu

- Aaryana Parekh
- Julie Piot
- Trenton Polk
- Deeraj Pothapragada
- Krishna Pothapragada
- Mathew A. Randal
- Matthew Ru
- Bryce Shen
- Dingjia Shen
- Jonathan Wang
- Sarah Wang
- Quade R. Wilson
- Nichole Zhou
The students were among 16,000 semifinalists named in the annual program. They can now compete to receive a National Merit Scholarship from among $28 million in awards that the program will grant to exceptional students.

To qualify for a scholarship, the students must complete an application, and submit their academic and extracurricular information, a letter of recommendation and an essay.
Finalists will be announced in February.
