$250K Donation Would Help Fund Pavilion At Knoch Knolls Park
The Frank J. Rus Trust plans to donate $250,000 to help Naperville Park District build a new pavilion at Knoch Knolls Park, per an update.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Park District is set to receive a donation of $250,000 from Frank J. Rus Trust that will be used to help fund a new pavilion that will be built at Knoch Knolls Park.
As a result of the donation, park district officials voted to unanimously approve a resolution to start a 60-day period during which they will weigh whether to name the new structure "Frank J. Rus Pavilion."
“We are grateful for this generous donation that will enable the park district to fill a need for outdoor program space at Knoch Knolls Park,” Naperville Park District Executive Director Brad Wilson said in a news release.

Wilson added, “This park has benefited from the generosity of community members from the beginning, when Judge Win Knoch and Irene Knoch donated 13 acres of land to the Naperville Park District in 1980 to form Knoch Knolls Park."
In 2021, the park district established the Frank Rus Preserve, using 40 acres of land that the Frank J. Rus Trust had donated to Knoch Knolls Park.

As of May 27, the current design concept is for the pavilion will to be built along the south banks of the DuPage River.
