Naperville Is Country's 2nd Best City To Live In
Several Illinois counties also earned spots on the "best counties to raise a family."

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville is the second-best city to live in nationwide, according to neighborhood ranking site Niche.com. The city was one of 228 ranked based on factors including crime rate, quality of public schools, cost of living and job opportunities.
In addition to reviews from the public, Niche.com used data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to compile the rankings. Naperville came in at No. 2 behind Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Nearly 400 people reviewed Naperville, with 111 giving the suburb an "excellent" rating; two people called Naperville "terrible." Naperville got an A+ overall rating, with another A+ for public schools, A- for housing, A+ for being good for families, B+ for crime and safety, B+ for nightlife and an A for diversity.

"Naperville is a pleasant city, with a decent population size. This town is fairly safe, I never felt afraid walking outside. The downtown area has some lovely shopping and eating choices, but can be a little pricey some times. This town is definitely for middle-upper-middle class families, generally white collar people. For children there are several great junior and high schools to attend that will prepare them for college should they choose to do so," Niche.com said.
Naperville is mostly in DuPage County, which was also recognized by Niche as No. 15 on the "best counties to raise a family" list. Also on the "best counties" list:
