500 Pounds of Pot Found Inside Naperville Building
Police say the weed belonged to a 28-year-old Chicago man who intended to leave the country within the week.
NAPERVILLE, IL — A Chicago man has been charged with cannabis possession after police found 500 pounds of the drug in a building in unincorporated Naperville.
Dovydas Diburys, 28, is charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a class X felony, and is currently being held without bail at the Will County Jail.

The Naperville Police Department Special Operations Group was informed April 26 that a large amount of cannabis was being stored inside a building located in unincorporated south Naperville, according to a news release from the department. With the assistance of the Metropolitan Area Narcotics Squad and Will County State’s Attorney’s Office, Naperville police detectives executed a search warrant at that location. Approximately 500 pounds of cannabis with an estimated street value of more than $2 million was recovered.
Naperville Police Department Special Operations Group determined the cannabis belonged to Diburys and learned that he intended to leave the country within the week, the release said. With the assistance of the United States Marshal Service, the detectives located Diburys in Chicago on Monday and took him into custody without incident on May 2.
