68 Pounds Of Weed, 2 Cars Seized In Naperville Drug Bust: Cops
Police say they used a website to rent a home and "conceal a large-scale cannabis trafficking operation."

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Naperville police seized 68 pounds of marijuana and two cars when they busted an alleged drug ring Sunday night in a home that had been rented from an online site. Cristian Valdivia, 22, of La Puenta, California, along with Melissa Tavares, 23, and Edwin Mendoza, 27, both of Rockford, were charged in connection with the incident.
In a press release, police said the arrests were made just after 8 p.m. in the 4600 block of Fesseneva Court. The accused allegedly rented a residence from "a popular internet home rental site" to "conceal a large-scale cannabis trafficking operation."

Police also seized two cars and over $4,000 in cash during the sting.

Valdivia was charged with cannabis trafficking, along with possession with intent to deliver over 5,000 grams of cannabis and possession of cannabis over 5,000 grams. Mendoza and Tavares were each charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver over 5,000 grams of cannabis and possession of cannabis over 5,000 grams.
They are currently being held at Will County Jail.
