Matthew James Mondrella
Age 67, formerly of the Joliet, area, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026 at his home in Florida after a brief illness. He was born October 16, 1958 in Joliet.
He is survived by his loving mother and step-father, Barbara and Vic Corsetti; father, Albert C. Mondrella; his siblings, Dawn (James) Joutras, Jeanne (James) Keating, Albert D. (Kristie) Mondrella and Marlene Mondrella, who lovingly looked after him; and his favorite uncle, Jeff Miller; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Matthew was known for his amazing recall of childhood events and sports statistics.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 23, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, Shorewood, IL.A private inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
