NAPERVILLE, IL — A father of two young children from Naperville was killed last week in a crash in rural Pennsylvania, according to reports.
A GoFundMe for the family of the victim, Oleksandr Koshkidko, described the incident as a truck accident.
The crash with heavy entrapment occurred around 6:30 p.m. April 20 at eastbound Interstate 80 milemarker 124.8 in Clearfield County, near the scene of another major crash involving two semitrailers, BJW Volunteer Fire Co. said in a post on social media.
WTAJ confirmed the 31-year-old victim was Koshkidko, citing the Clearfield County coroner.
“He was the cornerstone of his family, always working hard to provide and care for those he loved most,” the GoFundMe page said. "His sudden passing has left his wife and children not only heartbroken but also facing an uncertain and challenging future.”
Donations to the GoFundMe will cover funeral expenses, living costs and ensuring support for the children. As of Monday, the fundraiser had received over $63,000 in contributions toward its $70,000 goal.
