NAPERVILLE, IL — After 10 years serving fresh and health-conscious and gluten-friendly meals at the Brookdale Square eatery in Naperville, Nature's Best Cafe will close on July 31.
The news comes after community members raised funds to help keep Nature's Best open following a December announcement of their impending closure.
A GoFundMe campaign started in mid-November raised $5,495 in an effort help owner Simitro Cruz and his family.
Nature's Best Cafe took to social media Monday to thank their customers as they announced of the final closure.
"What a journey it has been!," they wrote. "We are incredibly grateful to the Brookdale community for making our cafe so much more than a place to grab a meal. Together, we celebrated adoptions, birthdays, showers, retirements, games, book clubs, reunions, and countless after-parties following amazing musical events. We laughed, cheered, sang along, and created memories that will stay with us forever."
