NAPERVILLE, IL — A fire at a Naperville home caused about $100,000 in damage, according to authorities.
A 911 caller reported a smoky smell around 4 p.m. Tuesday in a residence in the 1000 block of Williamsburg Drive, authorities said. Emergency responders found smoke and a small fire in the attic, according to the Naperville Fire Department.
The occupants escaped unharmed and crews extinguished the blaze, authorities said.
The cause was deemed to be unintentional and, despite an estimated $100,000 in damage, the home was determined to be habitable and returned to the owner, according to the department.
