NAPERVILLE, IL — There are less than two weeks of summer left until students head back to school. Back-to-school planning has already begun at Naperville Community Unit School District 203, with calendars available to help parents prepare their children for a smooth transition into the 2026-2027 school year.
The first day of school is set for Aug. 13 for all District 203 students.
Here's a look at some dates to know for the upcoming school year:

Sept. 7: Labor Day; no school
Nov. 3: Election Day; e-learning
Nov. 25-Nov. 27: Thanksgiving recess
Dec. 21 - Jan. 3: Winter Break
Jan. 4: Institute Day; no school
Jan. 5: Classes start again
Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Jr. Day; no school
Feb. 15: Presidents' Day; no school
Feb. 23: Election Day; possible e-learning day
Feb. 26: County Institute Day; no school for students
March 4 and March 5: Conferences; no school
March 26-April 2: Spring Break
April 6: Election Day; e-learning
May 7: Half-day Institute Day
TBA: Graduation
May 31: Memorial Day; no school
May 24: Last day of school (tentative)
May 25 - June 1: Emergency Days
