NAPERVILLE, IL — A 23-year-old Woodstock man was killed Tuesday night in a two-car crash near the intersection of Warrenville Road and Washington Street in Naperville.
Police received a call around 11:15 p.m. to report the crash. When officers got to the scene, they saw a 2007 Ford F-150 with "heavy damage to the front left quarter panel" lying east of Washington Street, a news release said.
The 2003 Honda motorcycle was found on its side near the truck and had "significant damage."
Naperville Fire Department firefighters gave medical attention to the motorcycle's driver and its passenger, a 22-year-old woman. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The 20-year-old West Chicago man who had driven the truck declined medical attention after being evaluated.
Police say preliminary investigation results indicate the motorcycle was heading east on Warrenville Road when it struck the truck as the truck was turning onto westbound Warrenville Road from a driveway.
The crash investigation closed eastbound and westbound Warrenville Road between Washington Street and Lucent Lane until around 3:45 a.m.
